A resolutely polymorphic orchestra, composed of 9 musicians, all excellent improvisers, multi-instrumentalists, who can wear the satin tails of a chamber orchestra or the flamboyant colors of a Louisiana brass band, the ragged clothes of a jug band or the saturated leather jacket of Keith Richards, with the inexhaustible inspiration of Tom Waits’ music and poetry. The show explores a wide range of dynamics and sound textures and transports the audience into a playful universe close to the theater or the movies of our childhood. We wish to use Romain Morello’s skills and talent as an arranger.
