Oxmo Puccino is a traveler who crosses musical territories with simplicity and elegance. He frequented the Jazz world, very early with the Jazzbastards, he returned to urban music and then found himself in adventures with Ibrahim Maalouf and on Doni Doni with Erik Truffaz. He also knows very well the atmosphere of the Jazz Festivals. Yaron Herman is a jazz pianist. His career is made on the edge of excellence. He too is nourished by creation, he too crosses the borders of styles and in addition he is passionate about teaching. It is a happy coincidence that brings them together for an unprecedented concert, the opportunity for an exceptional encounter between the rapper-poet and one of the best jazz pianists of his generation. The two artists will once again “synchronize” their arts in this inspiring courtyard of the Vieille Charité. Listening to the melodic lines proposed, the rapper will revisit his repertoire to propose something absolutely new. From L’Enfant Seul to Le Droit de Chanter and 365 Jours, the man with the honeyed voice will take us to a “sacred temporality” close to trance, to the rhythm of the suites improvised by the Steinway of Yaron Herman. It is a true dialogue between two artists in permanent search of freedom and creativity.
