Selah Sue’s career took a significant turn in 2008. She was 19 years old and released her first ep, Black Part Love, with 6 very promising tracks. From then on, Selah hit the road and toured Europe, each time attracting the interest of the public. Her intriguing voice, her ardor, her deep lyrics will leave a mark. In 2010, Prince invites her to open for him in Antwerp and will boost her fanbase. Her first album, Selah Sue, will be quickly certified double platinum in 2011. Her track, Ragamuffin, a hymn to her passion for sound systems, will be her standard that will conquer a large audience and open the doors to international markets. She will win five times the award for best female solo artist at the Music Industry Awards (MIAS’s) and the prestigious Prix Constantin. Her energy and her communicative generosity impose her as a stage artist and the Sue rocket is launched.
2015 marks her return with Reason, a soulful and electro-influenced album. You only have to listen to Reason or Together to understand that Selah is in her time. After a long period of silence, she comes back in 2022 with a new album Personna which delivers, without filter, the flaws of an artist and her fights against depression. Rest assured! the soul diva is still as powerful as ever and the stage remains her favorite ring!
On July 27, Selah Sue will be on the stage of the Palais Longchamp and will prescribe us a prescription of good music and ” Pills ” of generosity.
Good music will come !
