An exceptional territory for an exceptional evening. Jouques conceals unsuspected treasures and opens its doors to us. First, a bastide in a unique park with ponds, gardens and a magnificent poplar grove. Then there’s a group of winegrowers, each more talented than the last, offering a tasting experience like no other, and then there’s jazz in a big way, with a joyful ensemble of original sounds and a saxophonist on stage who’s a real treat! A great story!
Laurent Bardainne & Tigre d’Eau Douce
Saxophonist Laurent Bardainne and his quartet continue their exploration of jazz with a fine touch of electro and groove. A very active but discreet musician, a mainstay of Thomas de Pourquery’s Supersonic, Laurent Bardainne is now experiencing a kind of blossoming with Tigre d’eau douce. “I didn’t want to make any more tortured music”, he says, inviting us to his fantasy oasis, where he freely celebrates a spiritual jazz with the scent of Eden.
Opening concert : Stompin’ Bayou
Stompin’ bayou, led by Cleveland Donald, carries the breath of black American music. The ensemble offers you a break to move body and heart, and discover traditional New Orleans gems. It invites you to your own mardi gras, inspired by Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Domino, Louis Armstrong and the brass bands of Nola.
An evening with the support of the Metropole Aix-Marseille-Provence and the city of Jouques.
