It is said of him that he is the permanent renewal of French Jazz. This is certainly true, as he never stops playing, creating and interpreting. And jazz is above all a music that is played. In 2009, Michel Legrand gave Nicolas Folmer carte blanche to revisit his repertoire. Together, they built a magnificent artistic complicity. The great composer had found in the interpreter a listening, a virtuosity, a freedom and a sound that fit with his so singular universe. Film scores that have become cult, jazz songs so popular that they are now heard from lip to lip. In addition to the poetry of their two universes, it is also the anecdotes about the composer told by Nicolas that will delight our ears for this evening full of lyricism and swing.
