David Walters is back to take us on a new artistic journey, one that he knows all about. Having become inseparable from Creole culture, which he has explored and dissected since his first solo album Awa in 2006, he returns with Klé, his new anthem taken from Soul Tropical, his latest album. Recorded with his closest friends Vincent Segal, Ballaké Sissoko and Roger Raspail, Klé (clear in Creole) is a declaration of positivity with a strong gospel influence, a reference to God, and a strong Creole choir.
On 13 July, Marseilles will be celebrating the return of Walters, the city that hosted him for several years and gave him the impetus to explore the West Indies and Africa musically. His positivity and desire to share will obviously light up the night at the Palais Longchamp. So don’t hesitate, because in these turbulent times, taking a dose of happiness is clearly the right thing to do.
